Independent Norton legislator, Temba Mliswa, is reportedly unable to support his two-year-old daughter, whom he conceived with Ngoni Munene of Norton in 2021.
According to a source who spoke to this newspaper, Mliswa assured Munene that he would get her an apartment in Harare and look after the child. Mliswa broke his promises and now he has cut off Munene's access to all of his cell phones.
“Mliswa is neglecting the child he sired with Munene. While Munene was still enrolled at the University of Zimbabwe in 2021, Mliswa assured her that he would provide for both her and the child financially. Mliswa, however, does not support both Munene and the child, and Munene is now considering going to court to seek redress,” said the source.
According to the source, Mliswa maintains that Munene's child was not his, and that is why he was not paying child support. However, Munene's efforts to bring the infant along to a paternity test have been routinely denied by Mliswa.
Mliswa was also being accused of raping and impregnating a 14-year-old girl. The source said that Mliswa was understood to have taken advantage of the minor girl whom he met as she sought help after apparently being the victim of earlier abuse by another Member of Parliament.
According to the source, despite Mliswa's public declaration that he has no sexual appetite for women under the age of 35, he was a paedophile who sleeps with young girls.
The source stated that Mliswa was a horrible example of a leader considering that he has over 20 children with different women, exposing himself and others to sexually transmitted diseases.
Attempts to reach Mliswa for comment were futile as his mobile phones were not reachable.
