MDC is planning to counter the Government planned and SADC backed anti-sanctions march pencilled for 25 October, by continuing with its banned 24 October demonstration.

According to the party insider who preferred anonymity for fear of victimisation, during the recently held MDC strategic planning workshops held countrywide, MDC members called for more demonstrations against the Government, starting with the 24 October planned demonstration.

“The party is mobilising members to go ahead with the 24 October demonstration despite the ban by the police.

“Members are also being mobilised to attend and disrupt the Government planned anti-sanctions march by raising placards denouncing President Emerson Mnangagwa during the proceedings of the march,” revealed the source.

Relatedly, the party insider further revealed to this publication that, during the MDC strategic planning workshops, party officials admitted that the current economic challenges were working to the advantage of that party ahead of the 2023 elections.

MDC has gone on ravage campaign against the Government planned and SADC backed anti-sanctions march calling it a waste of the country’s hard earned resources.
