Members of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) are wishing for the resurrection of the late Morgan Tsvangirai as Nelson Chamisa has proven to be politically clueless.
A source informed this publication that CCC members doubted Chamisa’s leadership capabilities and were now convinced that no opposition party will dethrone ZANU PF from power in the next foreseeable future.
"I really wish Tsvangirai was alive to lead the CCC as he was much better than what we are witnessing right under the leadership of Chamisa. He does not have the capability to lead. Looking at how ZANU-PF is organized in their just ended primary elections, their turnout was overwhelming and I do not think CCC has the capacity to do the same," said the source.
The same source further noted that CCC was not transparent in dealing with its finances and Chamisa was leading that party without consultation from other members.
"There is no transparency and accountability in CCC as we do not know how the funds of the party are used. To make matters worse, we do not have any idea as to how much money was raised for the bullet proof car. The guys involved in the GoFundMe initiative are now saying that the initiative was a private project. If only Tsvangirai was alive, we could be doing things better," said the source.
Meanwhile, the turn out in the ZANU-PF primaries has sent CCC in shock mode. CCC is seized with in-house squabbles as the relations between Chamisa, Sikhala and other senior party members have continued to deteriorate.
