Zimbabwe-China relationship has proved to be fruitful as the latter continues to embark on developmental projects in the country.
Tweeting on its handle today, Zim-China Friends Forever posted that an organization, Afrochine Zimbabwe was constructing a state of the art boarding school called Mbuya Mafuyana High School.
“The boarding facility, Mbuya Mafuyana High School being constructed by @AfrochineZ, will have state of the art labs, sports facilities and highly trained teachers. Surrounding villages will have better jobs, better roads and better schools,” tweeted Zim-China Friends Forever.
One Netizen, Ngozi Chamu commended the move saying that it was very good as it would see both Zimbabwe and China benefiting from the development.
“This is a good move and well appreciated, cultivating synergistic relationship with the community. It will benefit both sides that is Zimbabwe and China,” he said.
Mbuya Mafuyana High School is located 7km north of Afrochine Selous plant in Selous a place that is located 80 km from the capital. The school will accommodate forms 1 to 6 students after completion.
China continues to assist Zimbabwe as the country makes strides to attain an Upper Middle Income Status by 2030.
In a recent development, China funded and constructed Zimbabwe`s new Parliament building in Mount Hampden. The Parliament building which took 42 months to be completed instead of the original 32 months due to Covid-19 disruptions is now ready to be occupied.
China is again expanding the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport (RGMI). The US$153million project which received funding from the China Export-Import Bank would significantly increase tourist arrivals into the country.
The relations between China and Zimbabwe continue to solidify at a time the geopolitical landscape is shifting from the US to the East Asian countries.
