The just ended ZANU PF 18th National People’s Conference which was held at Goromonzi High School in Mashonaland East Province has proved that the Party really means business and is committed to the turnaround of the country’s economy. Some armchair critics and misguided elements thought that the gathering was all about eating and gallivanting; no, that was not the case, but the gathering was to chart the way forward for the nation and growing the economy.

The United States of America has sent the global tongue wagging from its insistent talk on democracy, human rights, law and order. This is despite an ongoing impeachment attempt on President Donald Trump who is accused of deflowering the American constitution through undemocratic and equally uninspiring actions that are contrary to their pronouncements. Following a heavy drubbing that the MDC and its leader, Nelson Chamisa received at the hands of President Emmerson Mnangagwa and ZANU PF in the elections last year, the opposition party has been thrown into disarray. Chamisa and his party went on to behave like a bull in a china shop destroying anything in sight in a fit of rage, reminiscent of the tit for tat misguided thinking.
