As the election date approaches, and the nation gears up to choose their desired leader for the next five years, prominent journalist and supporter of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) has described CCC leader, Nelson Chamisa as unfit to lead the country.
Speaking to this publication a close contact of Chin’ono revealed that the journalist was going around telling his close associates that Chamisa does not have the aptitude to lead the country in the unlikely event that he wins the elections.
“Chamisa who is been known for his charismatic personality and fiery speeches and promises of a new era of change, hope, and progress is all fire and fury and has nothing to offer and has no capacity to lead and or form a new government.
“Chin’ono believes that he lacks a clear agenda, concrete policies, and a well-defined structure to back his promises. While they acknowledge his energy and enthusiasm, they considered it insufficient to address the complex challenges facing Zimbabweans,” said the source.
Political analyst, Tendai Chibanda opined that the international observers as well as other CCC donors have been scrutinizing Chamisa’s speeches and monitoring his growth as politician and are not impressed.
“The election observers from across the globe, including CCC sympathisers are closely monitoring Chamisa's campaign, paying attention to his speeches, rallies, and interviews. They listened intently, hoping to hear specific plans and strategies to bolster the economy, enhance governance, and improve the overall well-being of the people.
“Unfortunately, their expectations have suffered a massive blow. Chamisa has proved to be more inclined towards making grandiose promises and criticizing the ruling Party's track record rather than outlining practical and realistic solutions. Their concerns are growing by each passing day and are noting a lack of substance behind his rhetoric,” said Chibanda
Furthermore, Chin’ono reiterated that Chamisa does not possess the necessary capabilities to effectively govern the troubled nation, because without a well-defined agenda, clear policies, and a solid structure, his leadership might inadvertently lead to more instability rather than progress. As such, Chin’ono has vowed to direct his energies toward exposing corruption wherever it might rear its ugly head, be it in Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), political parties and Government departments, and move away from pro-opposition politics.
