Kudakwashe Mupamhanga, the ZANU PF candidate for Mt Darwin South, has vowed to transform the constituency by initiating various empowerment programmes.
Mupamhanga said that he was aiming to make Mt Darwin South one of the best constituencies in the country by ensuring that people get clean water, accessible roads, and are food secure.
In an interview with this publication, Mupamhanga said that he was being inspired by President Mnangagwa's mantra of leaving no place and no one behind in terms of development.
"I am inspired by the President's vision of a prosperous Zimbabwe," Mupamhanga said. "I believe that Mt Darwin South can be one of the leading constituencies in the country, and I am committed to making that happen."
Mupamhanga added that areas such as Makokoro, Tsakare, Kandeya, and Chesa need proper roads, and he was ready to ensure that roads were rehabilitated.
"I know that these roads are in a bad state, and I am determined to fix them. I want to make sure that people in these areas can get to their destinations safely and easily, " Mupamhanga said.
Mupamhanga also said that he was determined to take youths off drugs and he was ready to roll out youth empowerment programmes.
"I know that some of our youths are drug addicts," Mupamhanga said. "I want to help young people get off drugs and get their lives back on track. I am also committed to providing young people with opportunities to succeed," he added.
Mupamhanga will officially launch his campaign on 15 July 2023 at Chiunye Primary School and he is confident of victory.
"I am confident that the people of Mt Darwin South will vote for me. I have a plan for the constituency, and I am committed to making it a better place,” Mupamhanga said.
