Chamisa deserted by advisors

Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) leader, Nelson Chamisa is being deserted by his close advisers for lack of financial transparency on the eve of the country’s Harmonised General Elections.

According to a source within that party, Luke Tamborinyoka and Philani Zamtshiya decided to focus on other interests as they consider Chamisa an unreliable leader who lacks focus.

“Zamtshiya has joined the Tyson Wabantu Movement where he is now one of Saviour Kasukuwere’s advisors while Luke Tamborinyoka enrolled for further studies in Europe citing frustrations of working with Chamisa,” said the source.

Furthermore, Chamisa has been accused of misappropriating funds donated by the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) to fund the writing of that party’s Manifesto ahead of the plebiscite.

“The people who were supposed to write the Manifesto have refused to write it for free. They claim that the Manifesto was funded and that Chamisa converted the money from FES for personal use.  They are demanding to know what the money was used for and Chamisa will have none of it.

“Chamisa ended up giving Tendai Biti and Tamborinyoka the task of writing the Manifesto with a title New Great Zimbabwe and they only managed to come up with a draft,” said the source.

This is not the first time that Chamisa has been embroiled in the misappropriation of funds within that party. Last year a GoFundMe project was initiated by CCC supporters in the diaspora to raise US$120 000 to buy Chamisa’s armoured vehicle but after the funds were handed over to him, the funds were misappropriated and no car was purchased.  To this day, he has failed to account for the US$120 000.
