President Emmerson Mnangagwa has reiterated that he will never leave anyone behind as he works towards the attainment of visison2030.
Speaking during the official opening of the United Bulawayo Hospital Orthopaedic Centre and the Covid19 Isolation Centre yesterday, President Mnangagwa hailed the Second Republic’s tireless efforts towards the provision of sustainable development throughout the country.
“Our commitments to complete and deliver high impact projects, which prioritise the needs of the people, are on-going, with greater urgency. This is in view of the need to put in place critical building blocks toward achieving the National Development Strategy-1 (NDS-1), Vision 2030.
“My Government will indeed leave no stone un-turned to ensure that all people in all parts of the country enjoy a better quality of life,” the President said.
Making reference to the newly opened Orthopaedic Centre and Covid19 Isolation Centre, President Mnangagwa said the two bore witness of Government commitment to achieving a healthy nation.
“This achievement is a testimony of the fact that the bold and strategic decisions taken by the 2nd Republic to stabilise, restructure and reform the public health sector in our country are yielding fruit.
“It is noteworthy that the Centre will contribute to new standards in the provision of healthcare, through the improvement in the quality of services. This is in sync with the Second Republic’s thrust to deliver a public health care system envisioned in the Health Sector Coordination Framework and the United Nations Universal Health Coverage aspirations,” President Mnangagwa said.
Meanwhile, the hospital will provide free surgeries to children with correctable disabilities, enhance access to specialised medical healthcare, among others.
President Mnangagwa has been on a drive to turn around the economy through the development and augmentation of enablers by vigorously increasing the construction of roads and dams and bridges to ensure a robust transformation and modernisation of all sectors that help develop and grow the economy.
