THE Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (Zimsec) has extended the registration period for November 2020 Ordinary and Advanced Level examinations, and urged school authorities to follow all regulations pertaining to the submission of entries to the letter.
In a statement today, Zimsec said the registration period for O and A level has been extended to 2 October 2020.
“Zimsec would like to advise all Examinations Centres that registration for the 2020 ZGCE Ordinary and Advanced Level Examinations has been extended to 2 October 2020.Heads of Examination Centres should communicate this extension of registration to all prospective candidates in their communities.
“All regulations relating to the submission of entries should be followed to the letter,”said Zimsec in a statement.
Zimsec’s statement came weeks after the Government has announced that schools will reopen this September with students who are writing Zimsec’s examinations, this year resuming classes on 28 September.
Meanwhile, Government has put measures to safe guard learners from the COVID-19 pandemic and has already set aside ZWL$600 million for disbursement to needy schools to improve sanitation and enable them to reopen safely without risking a spike in COVID-19 infections.
Government also announce this month that ZUPCO buses will be provided for learners and teachers to enable them a hassle free trip to their schools.
