Zimbabwean citizens yesterday joined hands for the 2019/2020 inter-denominational National Thanksgiving and Dedication Service which took place at Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) grounds in Bulawayo.
The citizens who attended the prayer service said that their aim is to pray for a better Zimbabwe.
Speaking in an interview with Harare Post, one citizen Barbra Ngoma said that prayer is the only road map to achieve what everyone dreams of in our country.
“As a Christian country, Zimbabweans must come together and pray so as to build the Zimbabwe we all want. With God everything is possible. We should thank our Most High God for giving us a leader who puts God in everything that he does,” said Ngoma.
Another citizen Munemo Tachiona said that in order to work together in unity for a better Zimbabwe, people should always pray together.
Speaking before the prayer service, Faith for the Nation Campaign chairperson, Reverend Andrew Wutawunashe said that Zimbabwe is blessed to have a President who has a vision but it is sad to note that the vision is being frustrated by some opposing forces.
“The Bible tells us that without a vision, people will perish. We have a President who has given us a vision, which is forward looking and inspiring. If only it could be affirmed and people stop opposing it for the sake of adversarial politics,” said Reverend Wutawunashe.
This is the third session of the Thanksgiving and Dedication Service in Zimbabwe which is now an annual event. The service`s theme was “Counting our Blessings.”
