Former Sunday Mail editor, Edmund Kudzayi has been roped in by the Generation 40 (G40) top dogs to recruit other journalists from different media houses who will write propaganda articles that undermine President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his Government.
The agreement between Kudzayi, who was the behind the faceless facebook characters - Baba and Mai Jukwa, and the G40 honchos, was reached at a recent meeting in South Africa.
According to an impeccable source, Kudzayi met Saviour Kasukuwere and Professor Jonathan Moyo in South Africa last week where they agreed to work together to oust President Mnangagwa and his Government.
The source also revealed that Kasukuwere was also working with some graduates of the National Youth Service Training.
“Some of these youth are busy applying for passports so that they go to South Africa for military training. I am sure you are aware that, during his time as Youth Minister, Tyson employed these youth as Youth Officers. The youth are disgruntled after they were laid off on the basis that they were ghost workers,” said the source.
There has been talk within the political corridors that the G40 cabal intends to make a political comeback through a coup. Sources say Kasukuwere is working with an Ambassador who is from the military for him to recruit some serving Zimbabwe National Army officers.
The G40 cabal has fronted Kasukuwere as their horse in their bid to wrestle Zanu PF leadership from President Mnangagwa. They have recruited a number of journalists to run their media campaigns under the #Tysonwabantu banner.
Former Daily News editor, Stanley Gama has been tasked to come up with a G40 mouthpiece which is to be registered as Zimbabwe Times (ZimTimes). The Zim Times will be an online publication with a printed version being published weekly.
