Chamisa’s call for demos heedless

Chamisa’s calls for demonstrations and stay-away has been castigated by citizens who consider MDC leader Nelson Chamisa as being heedless, the Harare Post has learnt.

Whilst addressing people during the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Union (ZCTU) Worker’s Day commemorations in Dzivarasekwa yesterday, Chamisa promised that people will soon be called to the streets to demonstrate against the Government and the economic policies.

While speaking to Harare Post, one Political Analyst, Norman Mupurwa highlighted how Chamisa is abusing the democratic space other political parties have been afforded by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

“Instead of appreciating the democratic space Government afforded the opposition political parties, Chamisa is abusing it. He is always anti-Government, taking every opportunity he has to denounce government efforts and inciting violence,” he said.

“A national Dialogue was called for but he snubbed it, giving conditions, so how exactly does he want to help the Government and the people of Zimbabwe.

“Chamisa is inciting people with the aim of causing chaos in Zimbabwe. A puppet is what he is and he is being selfish by dancing to the tune of the West who are just after regime change. Libya experienced the hot fangs of the West but Chamisa acts as if he does not know how the West acts, with sanctions being the initial threat. He wants to cause civil war in this country,” he said.

Another source which preferred anonymity said Chamisa was chasing the wind of which he will not succeed.

“Chamisa is wasting his time. What is he still doing fighting the Government. He lost the elections and patience is one thing he does not have. He should just wait for 2023 because all he is after is to remove the ruling ZANU PF from power.

Anongoda hondo chete murume uyu, he is forgetting that people died and others got injured in the August 2018 and January 2019 violent demonstrations. He does not want peace to prevail in this country he should just let things be and let the new dispensation do their thing. Everything being done is for a good cause,” he said.

Commenting on Dzivarasekwa ZCTU Workers Day celebrations, Nyasha Lloyd Japondo tweeted saying, “Was this a labour day celebration for the whole country or political gathering? Maybe reason why minister ditched it last minute?”

Chamisa’s immature nature always comes out when he opens his mouth in public. He went to the Worker’s Day Celebrations but he turned it into a political rally.
