People from all walks of life have welcomed Government for living up to its promises to provide cheap and affordable public transport system as it commissions new buses in Belvedere today.

Commenting on his Twitter page, John Mandere said, “Mass public transportation system is coming in full swing.”

Nevanji Nehoreka confirmed the commissioning of the buses in ZUPCO Bus Belvedere depot while reaffirming President Mnangangwa’s commitment to deliver his promises to the people of Zimbabwe.

“President Emmerson Mnangagwa promised that by the 16th of April 2019 it will be done and here we are, buses being delivered.  Sceptics and doubting Thomases will be put to silence while others are converted,” said Nehoreka.

Government has been working to make the burden on the worker easier as it made efforts to provide some none monetary incentives for the Civil Service in order to cushion them from the prevailing economic hardships.   Provision of affordable transport service to and from work is a welcome move as the private transport operators were now taking advantage of the commuters charging exorbitant prices.
