The President and First Secretary of Zanu PF, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa has warned some people instigating and sowing seeds of division in the party to adhere to the dictates of the party Constitution.

The President also said that Zanu Pf remained smarter.

President Mnangagwa made the remarks while addressing the Party Youth League Assembly at Zanu PF headquarters in Harare today.

The Youth Assembly is a party Constitutional meeting held twice a year and brings together the Party Youths League leadership.

Today's meeting is the first after the party's resounding victory in last year’s harmonized elections.

President Mnangagwa's message was clear that the party will not brook those bent on causing divisions in the party.

"We must all follow the party's constitution and l am warning those opposed to the rules and guidelines," he said.

He said Zanu Pf was not a mafia party and urged the youths to use conventional means to lure youths from outside the party.

The President also said the Government was prioritising the revitalization of the economy and improving the standards of living for the citizens.

"There is also a buy-in from the business community that is supportive of Government's programmes," noted the President.

He bemoaned unjustified prices of goods by businesses that are not supportive of Government.

“Young people are the future of the country and their voices must begin to be heard," he added, imploring the youths to remain loyal to the party.

"The youth are the vanguard of the party and their contributions are greatly appreciated," said the President.

"In recognition of this, l have fused members from the youths league into Government, with some being Cabinet ministers," said the President.

President assured the youths that they would not be left in the allocation of resources.

"To this end, my Government is creating a youth desk in every Ministry, so that issues of youth would be expeditiously dealt with," said the President.

He encouraged the youths to be prepared to defend the revolutionary party. He applauded the move by the Youths to initiate National Dialogue with other youths across the political divide.

He said the youths should engage with progressive minds, be it in industry, commerce, college and universities.

"Zanu PF was given power by the electorate and has the mandate to fulfill people's desires," said President.

He implored the youths to take a cue from him as a servant of the people and be the listening leader.

Also present were two Vice Presidents, Consatantino Chiwenga and Kembo Mohadi, National Chairperson, Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri.
