Internal discord in CCC heightens

"Our leader seems to be faltering. We respected Chamisa for his legal acumen and political strategy, but recent developments have shaken our confidence," said the source.

The source revealed that several secret caucus meetings were occurring daily among senior CCC members.

According to the source, these meetings were focused on discussing potential strategies to oust Chamisa in a bid to prevent that party from disintegrating.

"It's about the survival of our party. We need a leader who can steer us in the right direction," the source added.

The same source added that members had expressed frustration over Chamisa's handling of political rivalries, particularly with Sengezo Tshabangu.

"Chamisa's inability to politically outmanoeuvre Tshabangu, despite his claims of being a seasoned lawyer and strategist, has been a major disappointment," the source mentioned.

The source said that some CCC members were contemplating joining forces with Tshabangu to forge a new path for the party.

"We are at crossroads. Aligning with Tshabangu might be our only chance to revive the party’s fortunes," the source stated.

The source further claimed that there was a consensus within the CCC that the only viable solution to save the party was to replace Chamisa with a leader who respects the constitution and values diverse opinions.

"We yearn for the old MDC days where structures were well-defined and every member's role was clear," the source reflected.

In the midst of these developments, there are reports that some CCC members were touting Job Sikhala, currently incarcerated, as a potential successor to Chamisa.

The source said that within CCC, Sikhala is seen as a more decisive and action-oriented leader. "Sikhala has the bravery and determination that our party desperately needs right now. If he is released, he might be our best hope," the source concluded.

This internal turmoil within the CCC marks a critical juncture for the party. With members calling for a significant leadership overhaul, the future of the CCC hangs in the balance.
