Prof Moyo shreds Brenthurst Foundation polls survey

Professor Moyo said that the results of the survey raised eyebrows as the study was carried out by a British company, SABI Strategy Group, on behalf of South Africa’s Brenthurst Foundation which has links with some CCC members such as Tendai Biti.

According to Professor Moyo, the methodology used to carry out the survey was questionable as the sample size was too small to give authoritative results.

“If a scam was a voter opinion survey!” concluded Prof  Moyo on his analysis of the poll survey.

Professor Moyo’s sentiments on the survey were echoed by anti-sanctions campaigner, Rutendo Matinyarare who said the survey results were absurd and should be thrown in the dustbin.

Opposition leader, Linda Masarira dismissed the survey results as nothing but hogwash as it was carried out by Dr Greg Mills, who recently co-authored a book with Tendai Biti, a prominent member of the opposition CCC.

“Greg Mills of Brenthurst is a handler of opposition puppets in Africa and Brenthurst Foundation is an Anglo American interested party that is biased,” said Masarira.

Meanwhile, political analyst Terrence Chipwanya described the poll survey as a scandalous attempt to portray CCC as a political alternative ahead of the 2023 elections.

“It’s a scandalous survey and an attempt by opposition funders to rescue the opposition in Zimbabwe which is teetering on the brink of total collapse,” said Chipwanya.

Chipwanya added that the survey report was divorced from reality as its methodology and sampling was deeply flawed and its researchers are biased towards the opposition.

Chipwanya urged Zimbabweans not to read much into the survey results as the Brenthurst Foundation that sponsored the survey, was established by an obscenely rich South African family in 2004, with the objective of funding civil society organisations that are in essence vehicles of regime change in Africa.
