Kasukuwere in disarray

Talk of counting one’s eggs before they are hatched, disqualified independent presidential candidate, Saviour Kasukuwere is in disarray and nursing headaches after incurring untold debts from hired vehicles and borrowed money for use in the 23 August Harmonised General Elections, with the hope of paying back upon occupying State House.

A source who spoke to this publication revealed that Kasukuwere was now hopeless as one of the vehicles hired for his campaign was involved in an accident.

“Kasukuwere engrossed himself in untold debts believing he will be the president of Zimbabwe after the elections. He is now insolvent, suffering under a burden of debt.  To think that he had already seen himself as president of this country is ridiculous and it shows that he is not in touch with the reality on the ground. One wonders whatever gave him such false confidence,” said the source.

The source further disclosed that Kasukuwere got most of his advice from spirit mediums, Vapostori and some self-proclaimed prophets. He believed their lies hook, line and sinker, to an extent of losing all logic.

To that end, Kasukuwere even advised his candidates to pay for their nomination courts and that he would reimburse them, sinking further into debt.

“Kasukuwere believed too much in Spirit mediums from his home village to a point that he wouldn’t do anything without consulting and confirming with them first.  They blindly led him into a ditch laden with debt.

“Recently, one of his close lieutenants told us to mobilise some young man to contest the election and cause mayhem so that the foreign observers would discredit the elections.

Members of his campaign team blamed Kasukuwere for putting his trust in traditional healers and spirit mediums instead of depending on them as they were on the ground and understood the dynamics.
