President Mnangagwa has appealed to ZANU PF supporters to come out in their numbers in order to ensure a resounding victory in the 2023 Harmonised General Elections.
Speaking to ZANU PF supporters who had come to show their support for the President at the commissioning of a Gas Plant at Verify Engineering in Feruka, Mutare, President Mnangagwa said that only ZANU PF was the legitimate people’s Party.
He urged Party supporters not to pay attention to new puppet parties whilst emphasising that they were just a wave which will blow away.
“We have, according to the constitution, General elections that are held after every five years. Several parties, Tumwe tumbeu twakadyarwa nevangezi ipai mvura zvipfuure musarwisana . Only ZANU PF has the heritage and history of the party and country,” he said.
President Mnangagwa further challenged the management of Verify engineering to make sure that their products remain affordable to the majority of Zimbabweans. He further encouraged the company to remain mindful of the importance of community engagement.
“Ensure your products remain affordable to the majority of our people. Remain mindful of the importance of community engagement. All Zimbabwean people and shareholders, workers and community must benefit from this centre,” said the President.
Meanwhile, most urban towns and cities under the administration of Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) in Zimbabwe have been riddled with maladministration and corruption which have resulted in lack of services like refuse collection and water deliveries.
Recently at the burial of late National Hero Chidawu, President Mnangagwa bemoaned the sorry state of the country’s urban areas and called on all of them to vote out the opposition CCC and MDC parties as they have only fostered the interests of hostile whites whilst neglecting the duties bestowed on them by the same voters.
