Indosakusa, formally Impumelelo Shining Stars, will be launching their first album under the new name after rebranding in March this year. The 13-track album is titled Indosakusa.
The launch will be held at Bulawayo Theatre, a venue that seems to be playing popular among artistes especially after Jeys Marabini’s successful album launch there last week. All female Imbube ensemble Nobuntu are set to provide entertainment.
Indosakusa The Morning Star leader Oscar Siziba said tickets for the show have been moving fast.
“Everything is going on well with regards to preparations for the album launch. We’ve been rehearsing hard and we’re happy with the way the ticket sales have been going.
“We’ve so far, sold 350 tickets,” said Siziba.
He said entrance to the show is $2 and $5 including a copy of the album. The event is expected to kick off at 5.30PM.
“We tried to make the tickets affordable as we wanted a lot of people to attend the event in order for them to get to know our group and music as well as why we rebranded.
Also, we’ve reduced the price of our album to $3 from the normal $5 or $8 because we want the message in the album to spread.”
The album, Siziba said, was inspired by God.
“This album carries a message about what Indosakusa is all about. There’s no one else who inspired this album besides God,” said Siziba.
The eight-member group comprises Thembelani Ndlovu (bass), Innocent Sibanda (bass), Njabulo Moyo (bass), Mduduzi Moyo (bass), Atiambiwi Shoko (tenor), Alla Sibanda (alto) and Kwanele Moyo (alto). – Chronicle
