Mthwakazi Republic Party (MRP) leader, Mqondisi Moyo, has lashed out at MDC-N leader, Nelson Chamisa exposing him as a hypocrite who has failed to live to his 2018 electoral campaign promise to the people of Matabeleland.
This comes following realisations that during the run up to the 2018 harmonised elections, Chamisa condemned the deployment of Shona speaking teachers in Matabeleland when he deployed Shona councillors in Bulawayo.
In a strong worded press statement directed to Chamisa, Moyo described the MDC-N leader as an opportunist.
“Opportunism has transcended truth in this country, leading to the sorry state of affairs, which your party seems to be subscribing to. I remember one day when you were addressing a rally in Hwange before elections, when you condemned the deployment of predominantly teachers of Shona ethnicity in Matabeleland.
“You promised to reverse the evil status quo. It is now proven that this was one of your plethora of the lies that have recently become your trade mark. What is the difference between a deployed Shona teacher and a deployed Shona councillor?”
Moyo added: “Your reference to the residents of Bulawayo as having some inadequacy and incompleteness is really shocking. If I'm to give you advice I would encourage you to desist from being too excited and to castrate your tribal emotions against the people of Matabeleland.”
“Your insults to the residents of Bulawayo confirm that Zanu PF is a lesser enemy than the bigger enemy which is ethnic marginalization. For so long your party has sold the people a dummy as an alternative to ZANU PF,” he said.
