The disorderly and disruptive behaviour exhibited by the Movement for Democratic Change Alliance, (MDC-A) in the August House has been roundly condemned by all and Sundry.
The opposition legislators heckled and booed at the Chief Justice, Luke Malaba, Zimbabwe Electoral Commission Chairperson, Priscillah Chigumba and the re-elected Speaker of the House of Assembly, Advocate Jacob Mudenda.
Having observed behaviour of incitement within the MDC A, Independent House of Assembly for Norton, Temba Mliswa took to his Twitter handle and urged the leader of the MDC A, Nelson Chamisa to advise his MPs to desist from unruly behaviour.
“@Nelsonchamisa should instruct that an apology is made if he is serious. One hopes he didn’t incite such behaviour,” tweeted Mliswa.
Another netizen only identified as Lawpi added that, “Chamisa incited the chaos obviously, MDC-A is good for nothing except chikudo and heckling, they have no serious business mentality, you can see how their councils operate.”
Advocate Mudenda was re-elected the Speaker of the House of Assembly. He beat MDC Alliance’s nominee, Paurina Mupariwa. Adv Mudenda’s deputy is Tsitsi Gezi.
Zanu PF boss for women’s league, Mabel Chinomona was elected the Senate President and she is deputised by retired Lieutenant General, Mike Nyambuya. Cde Chinomona beat MDC Alliance’s Morgen Komichi.
Pupurai Togarepi is now the new Zanu PF Chief Whip and his deputy is Tendai Muzenda.
