In a bid to boost the nation's domestic tourism sector, President Emmerson Mnangagwa embarked on a personal initiative to promote local attractions, reinforcing the Government's commitment to fostering tourism within the country.
Yesterday, the President took his family on a visit to the renowned Worlds View in Nyanga, where they explored various sites and trout farms, emphasizing the importance of supporting domestic tourism.
Addressing the media during his tour, President Mnangagwa highlighted the significance of domestic tourism and its alignment with the Government's broader vision.
He stated, "Yesterday, I took my family to visit the Worlds View in Nyanga, toured sites, and trout farms in the area in line with the Government's vision in supporting domestic tourism. It is one of the leading tourist attractions in the country."
The President expressed his encouragement at the noticeable increase in both local and international tourists exploring the wonders Zimbabwe has to offer. He acknowledged the positive trend, stating, "I am encouraged by the increased number of both local and international tourists visiting our country."
This surge in tourism, according to President Mnangagwa, not only contributes to the national economy but also enhances the global perception of Zimbabwe as a sought-after destination.
President Mnangagwa went on to commend the ongoing investments in new tourism products and facilities, recognizing them as a welcome development for the sector.
He remarked, "Equally, investments in new tourism products and facilities, which bolster the sector, are a welcome development."
The President emphasized the role of such investments in elevating the overall tourism experience, making Zimbabwe more appealing to a diverse range of visitors.
