President Mnangagwa has today charmed the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe (MCZ) congregants by his extreme knowledge of the scriptures.
Addressing multitudes of MCZ congregants gathered at Jonasi Primary School in Seke, the President spoke like a seasoned Pastor and quoted several scriptures throughout his entire speech sending the excited crowds into frenzy.
President Mnangagwa started by quoting Hebrews 10 verses 24 and 25 and urged the congregants to love each other and continue fellowshipping as instructed by the Holy Bible.
“Let us consider how to stir up one another towards love and good works, not neglecting our meeting together as some people do, but encourage one another,” said the President.
President Mnangagwa added that if the people of Zimbabwe remained obedient to the Gospel of God and guided by His word, the blessings outlined in Deuteronomy 28 verse 11 would continue to be outpoured upon our nation.
The President quoted several scriptures including Genesis 1 verse 26, second Thessalonians 3 verse 7, Joel 2 verse 26, Matthew 5 verse 9 and many others before declaring that he was a devout Christian.
Throughout his speech, the crowd continued clapping and ululating as it was being mesmerised by the President’s knowledge of scriptures.
Speaking at the same occasion, MCZ Bishop, Elijah Chihota said that the President was a faithful tither and giver who always attends church services whenever his schedule permits.
Bishop Chihota added that President Mnangagwa was a listening President who respects religious leaders.
Meanwhile, the President was hailed for his philanthropic works that has seen an improvement in the health and education sectors across the country.
