Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) activist, Hopewell Chin’ono applauded ZANU PF supporters for their political tolerance and urged Zimbabweans to emulate the spirit.
Writing on his Facebook page yesterday, Chin’ono said that his vehicle fell into a drain and was only assisted by ZANU PF supporters who had recognized hm.
“I drove the wrong way coming from watching the World Cup match. I was stuck for two hours until some ZANU PF guys who recognized me stopped and helped. I got the car out of the ditch with their help. Turns out that the dude who helped me is running for ZANU PF in Buhera. Thank you my brother. This is how it should be. We can disagree on issues but we should remain Zimbabwean brothers and sisters regardless,” said Chin’ono.
However, some passersby who saw Chin’ono yesterday said that he was visibly drunk and couldn’t stand properly due to heavy intoxication.
“I saw Chin’ono yesterday evening. He was visibly drunk and was having difficulties in standing properly. I couldn’t help him because I was in a rush but I strongly suspect that his car fell in that ditch because he was driving under the influence of alcohol,” said the source.
Earlier yesterday, Chin’ono had posted a picture of beer bottles on his Twitter handle and said that he wanted to get drunk in anticipation of France’s victory against Argentina.
“Preparations for les Bleus’s victory tonight are at an advanced level at my household. Where are you watching Argentina’s demise tonight,” said Chin’ono
Meanwhile, there are reports that the majority of CCC interim leaders are beginning to hate Chin’ono accusing him of capturing Chamisa. It is reported that Chin’ono has become the unofficial advisor to Chamisa and this has irked some CCC members as they are no longer consulted on certain issues by their leader Chamisa.
