President Emmerson Mnangagwa continue to fulfill the aspirations of the people in a bid to attain Vision 2030, the Vice President Constantino Chiwenga has said.
Addressing a gathering at a ZANU PF Star rally in Mutare yesterday, Vice President Chiwenga said that President Mnangagwa`s goal was to fulfill the aspirations of the people.
“The fish can`t survive outside the water. Because of our leader President Mnangagwa, we are always taught to fulfill people aspirations in all we do. That is Servant leadership. If we are not united with you, we will go nowhere,” he said.
VP Chiwenga said that a lot of developmental programs were being initiated by President Mnangagwa. He further said that no one was being left behind in terms of development.
“As the ruling Party, we are known for fulfilling people`s aspirations. A lot is being done across the country owing to the visionary leadership of President Mnangagwa who says no one and no place will be left behind in terms of development,” said VC Chiwenga.
VP Chiwenga chronicled the road rehabilitation programme that is on-going in the country giving reference to the Mutare-Harare road and Harare-Beitbridge road as some of the projects currently underway.
He further talked about the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport that had been revamped by the New Dispensation.
VP Chiwenga also said the Government was working on improving power at Hwange thermal power stations.
“We are also happy that the country is busy working on improving power at the Hwange 7 and 8 and reviving Ziscosteel taking Zimbabwe back to its number 1 position,” he said.
He said the Government was developing the rural areas so as to stop rural to urban migration. He added that the administration of President Mnangagwa was also working on reviving social service infrastructure in urban areas.
Urban areas have been in a mess ever since opposition councilors took control of them in 2000. In his address, VP Chiwenga urged people to vote for ZANU PF party in the upcoming 26 March by-elections so as to rectify the failures of the opposition party CCC (former MDC).
