The Nelson Chamisa-led Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) is plotting to unleash terror in the country by attacking all known ZANU PF members and Government officials.
A source who spoke to this publication said that CCC held a meeting in Chinhoyi recently where they resolved that the youths should start to be aggressive towards ZANU PF members and Government officials.
“Last week CCC held a meeting in Chinhoyi which was chaired by Mashonaland West provincial secretary for Local Government, Richard Viritinyu. The meeting resolved that the party should violently confront the ruling party members as well as the law enforcement agents. They also agreed that they should sustain the terror attacks until they draw the attention of the international community,” said the source.
According to the source, Viritinyu urged the Mashonaland West youths to imitate what recently happened in Kwekwe were one person died in a political violence. Viritinyu told attendees that all CCC rallies that will be held in Mashonaland West province should be marred by violence to send a signal to ZANU PF and the Government that CCC was ready for a confrontation with them.
Meanwhile, in a development that exposed the CCC as the architects of violence in the country, a WhatsApp message from a CCC group called CCC 2023 Strategies showed that the violence in Kwekwe was pre-planned by that party. It also revealed that the CCC had planned to unleash violence during their rally in Bulawayo
A message send by a member using a WhatsApp number 0773 756 656 reads, “Yes we are many Cde. Let us keep making them crazy. They won’t contain us. We have enough petrol bombs to cause terror like what we did at the Kwekwe rally. Bulawayo taane ma petrol bombs but tomaisa ku car park and make sure hapana watakuvadza”.
Another member using WhatsApp number, 0772 271 329, responded saying, “Gurundoro makaoma henyu. Everyone believes that it’s ZANU PF that caused violence in Kwekwe.”
The same participant further exposed that the CCC was committing acts of violence while donning the ZANU PF regalia. In the same WhatsApp group, one member wrote that, “Vese vasina ma T shirts eZANU PF batai Cde Ostallos Siziba. We must make sure that the world believes that it’s ZANU PF that is being violent”.
ZANU PF has been blamed for a series of violence that occurred at CCC rallies. Political analyst, Samuel Chindongo opined that the CCC was using the Selous Scout strategy of posing as the liberation fighters and killing civilians to tarnish and alienate the mass from the fighters.
