….as she begs for mercy from Chamisa

MDC Alliance Bulawayo Organising Secretary, Helen Ziviri alias Tsepiso Mpofu has thrown her faction leader and that party’s national chairperson, Tabitha Khumalo under the bus as she accused her of being the godmother of factionalism in that province.

A source who spoke to this publication said during the MDC Alliance’s 22nd anniversary celebrations in Bulawayo some two weeks ago, Ziviri sought audience with Nelson Chamisa and begged him for forgiveness in her role  in causing chaos and factionalism in Bulawayo.

“At the sidelines of the anniversary celebrations that were held at Executive Lodge in Bulawayo on 11 September, Ziviri approached Chamisa and asked for forgiveness for causing chaos in the province. Ziviri told Chamisa that she was led astray by Khumalo who was using her to fight the incumbent provincial chairperson, James Sithole,” said the source.

The source added that Ziviri told Chamisa that the architect of all the troubles in Bulawayo was Khumalo who was a spy for the Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO).

“Ziviri told Chamisa that the architect of the party’s problems in Bulawayo was Khumalo who was being paid by the CIO to destabilize the province. Ziviri added that Khumalo was receiving some monthly food hampers and money from the CIO as token of appreciation for causing chaos in Bulawayo and destroying the party from within,” added the source.

The same source further said that Ziviri begged Chamisa for mercy and vowed that she would not be used by anyone to fight elected members of the party. She pledged to be a loyal cadre and to diligently perform her assigned party duties instead of meddling in factional fights.

Meanwhile, another source confided in this publication that Khumalo’s faction has suffered a blow as Khumalo’s failing health has hindered her from giving direction to her faction members.

The source said that some members who were previously aligned to Khumalo were nicodemously approaching Sithole asking for forgiveness for their past aggression, which was directed by Khumalo.

Efforts to get a comment from Ziviri were futile as her mobile phones were not reachable.
