…as he contradicts himself every time he opens his mouth
Political analysts have questioned MDC leader Nelson Chamisa’s sanity as he displayed signs of incoherence during an interview with the Heart and Soul Tv (HStv)’s Blessed Mhlanga.
Chamisa was quoted saying his party is prepared for the 2023 harmonised elections as it is working on engaging polling agents for all the polling stations across the country. This, he said would be different from what happened in the July 30, 2018 harmonised elections where some polling stations had no polling agents.
“We will not follow past mistakes where we failed to post agents to some polling stations which had to go on with no agents during the last presidential election. As the main opposition, we will not repeat the same mistake in the upcoming 2023 plebiscite,” said Chamisa
Speaking during the same interview, Chamisa exposed his fatuity as he blatantly refused to acknowledge that his party failed to produce V11s during the Constitutional Court hearing, where he was contesting the ZANU PF election win.
Mhlanga highlighted to Chamisa that he had been failing to deliver the proof of his alleged win.
“You have been accused of saying a whole lot and not delivering. In court you assured the nation you had V11s,” said Mhlanga.
Chamisa responded by claiming that his party had the V11s and claims that they did not have V11s was just propaganda and also that the Constitutional Court was against them.
“We had V11s, you know that, don’t listen to propaganda, the courts are not the ultimate arbiters of the reality on the ground. The court was against us and that’s why they ruled against us,” Chamisa said.
Chamisa further took a swipe at the country’s leadership threatening unspecified action to ensure that he unconstitutionally removes ZANU PF from power before the 2023 Harmonised elections.
“The other time you said hatisvike 2023, we are going to change the leadership… its 2 years now,” said Mhlanga.
Chamisa retorted saying, “We will not get there. Look, change of leadership is not change in the physical sense.”
Political analyst, James Chirau associated Chamisa’s behaviour to one under the influence of alcohol.
“This boy smokes something strong before sitting for interviews or maybe it’s his pride that gets the better of him. How can he lie even when the evidence of what he once said is there, how?” Chirau retorted.
This was reiterated by another political analyst, Tafara Shumba who lambasted Chamisa for inconsistency whilst seating in the same interview.
“One minute, he acknowledges that the polling stations were not manned, the next minute he insists, the party had all V11 forms. This is utter madness,” said Shumba.
Meanwhile, Chamisa is on record threatening further violence if the Supreme Court does not rule in his favour in the battle for the ownership of the Morgan Richard Tsvangirai House (MRTH) against the MDC Alliance- led by Douglas Mwonzora. Chamisa has declared that he will occupy MRTH by thunder and fire.
