Farmers are being urged to emulate President Emmerson Mnangagwa who is running his farming activities professionally, a Member of Parliament has said.

Independent Member of Parliament for Norton Constituency, Temba Mliswa on his twitter handle said President Mnangagwa was a real farmer who is running his farm productively in a way which should be emulated by most farmers to avert food shortages.

“One thing you can never take away from President Emmerson Mnangagwa is how he is a real farmer, passionate and effective. He runs a very productive farm run professionally and he is not a multiple farm owner. If most of our farmers could emulate that we won't have food shortages,” said Mliswa.

Sharing the same sentiments, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Nick Mangwana also posted on his micro blogging site, “His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa has been consistent that, the only way we will achieve our aspirations as a nation is through hard work. We have to knuckle it down. Only hard work will help this transition from Egypt to Canaan. Not murmuring or attacking Moses.”

Recently whilst inspecting his farm in Kadoma the President said people should eat from the sweat of their hard work.

“This is what God said in Genesis, idyai zveziya,” said the President.
