Provinces have started receiving Carbon-In-Pulp (CIP) plants for gold dump processing which ZANU PF National Youth League secured in its bid to empower the youths,  the Harare Post has learnt.

Mashonaland Central and Midlands Provinces have confirmed to this publication that they have already taken delivery of their CIP plants, each worth US$30 000.

Mashonaland Central Provincial Youth Chairman, Lans Farando informed the provincial executive about the purchase of the CIP plant. He said the plants were secured from Metal Components Manufacturers through a loan facility which was negotiated by Home Link. The loan facility is payable within a 36 month period.

Farando explained the shareholding structure which will see 30% being allotted to the Province whilst the remaining 70% will be for National Youth League.

Meanwhile, Midlands Provincial Youth Chairman, Edmore Samambwa informed the Midlands Youth Executive about the newly acquired CIP plant.

During a recent meeting, the Midlands Provincial members agreed on the profit sharing matrix which will see the gold dump owner getting 20%.  The machine itself (CIP) will have a 20% stake while the other 20% will be allotted to the National Youth Executive with the remaining 40% being for the Provincial Youth Executive.

Samambwa highlighted that the youths from the Midlands Province will be given the responsibility of overseeing the plant. According to the youth boss, the 40% which will be allotted to the Provincial Youth Executive will be used to finance other empowerment projects.

While the ZANU PF government is facilitating for youth empowerment initiatives, MDC blocks its youth from utilising the set empowerment platforms. ZANU PF has been on its toes creating a business friendly environment which the youths from all walks of life should take advantage of.

Sanctions on the other hand have been derailing progress of some mega projects which the ZANU PF Youth League has already tabled. Cognisance of that, the ZANU PF government has already opened a Youth Empower Bank which seekst to offer financial support to the youths within the business sector.
