Recently nominated Zanu PF Central Committee member, prominent businessman KudakwasheTagwirei, is now only one step away from assuming his official role in the ruling party’s highest decision-making body between congresses. His appointmentnow hinges on ratification at the next full Central Committee meeting, in line with the party’s constitutional procedures.
The matter of ratification was discussed at a Central Committee meeting, held yesterday, but a decision was postponed to allow all provinces to submit the names of their co-opted members. The move ensures that the ratification process is conducted uniformly across all provinces, reinforcing the principle of national inclusivity within Zanu PF’s internal structures.
Speaking after the meeting, yesterday, Zanu PF Director of Information and Publicity, Cde FaraiMarapira, confirmed the procedural delay.
“The Central Committee has to ratify the cadres first before they assume membership. It’s just a procedural issue,” said Cde Marapira.
