Zimbabwe is experiencing temporary labour pains and soon we shall all rejoice when it gives birth to a very good economy, Vice President Kembo Mohadi has said.
Addressing thousands of party supporters today in Mt Darwin during the second ZANU PF thank you rally, Vice President Mohadi said Government was working tirelessly to address economic challenges the country was currently experiencing including reviewing exorbitant prices of basic commodities.
"Let us continue preaching the message of hope and progress. The current hardships shall come to pass. These are just Labour pains, they are not permanent. Our President visited Russia and other countries to look for investors and I am happy that his visit is bearing fruits.
"Very soon we will also introduce Zupco buses in rural areas to cushion our people. Government is also looking into the issue of prices of basic commodities. We are in the process of giving loans to retailers who are prepared to maintain fair prices," he said.
Vice President Mohadi said there was enough grain reserves to feed the nation for the next seven month.
