Chibaya plots to unleash a hit squad on Tshabangu

Last week, Tshabangu, who asserts his position as the CCC's interim secretary-general, penned a letter to the Speaker of Parliament, Jacob Mudenda recalling several CCC legislators and councillors, accusing them of fraudulently representing the party in the recent elections.

A contact who chose to remain anonymous, informed this publication of the purported plans being hatched within the CCC.

"Chibaya is deeply disturbed by Tshabangu's actions. Now, he is persuading the party's youth wing to retaliate against Tshabangu physically," said the source.

This development follows a recent incident where Bulawayo's Ward 1 Councillor, Shepherd Sithole, allegedly ridiculed Chibaya, calling him "too weak."

The same source shared, "Sithole mocked Chibaya's lack of strength. He even taunted the CCC youths, saying they are so feeble that they are easily manipulated by individuals like Tshabangu and Douglas Mwonzora."

Chibaya, seemingly backed into a corner, is believed to be collaborating with CCC's Binga North legislator, Prince Dubeko Sibanda.

According to the source, their alleged shared goal is to "silence Tshabangu once and for all."

The insider stated with gravitas, "Tshabangu's life is genuinely at risk. Many within the CCC want to see him out of the picture permanently."

Meanwhile, in a move that further deepens the schism within the CCC, Speaker of Parliament, Jacob Mudenda yesterday communicated to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) about the emergence of 15 vacant seats within the legislative assembly.

This notification followed closely on the heels of Tshabangu's letter, in which he, presenting himself as the interim Secretary-General of the CCC, called for the dismissal of several party MPs.
