CCC candidate imposition continues

Information from a close source within that party indicated that that party’s leader, Nelson Chamisa and his subordinates allegedly imposed Masiyatsva as Mayor of Redcliff without an agreement between all party members, and that the CCC members are not amused by the imposition.

“Never Kasirori reached out to Nelson Chamisa and told him that the CCC members in Redcliff were not happy about the imposition of Clayton Masiyatsva as Mayor of Redcliff, he also said that Chamisa had made a huge mistake that will cost the party as many of the members were disappointed and tired of the continued imposition of candidates, which began way before the elections,’’ the source reported.

The source went on to disclose that some of the members were complaining about how the dictatorial side of Chamisa continued to raise its ugly head despite people’s obvious choices in preferred candidates.

“CCC members are even tired of Chamisa’s dictatorial tendencies because they claim that he is very nonchalant even after receiving direct complaints from members. This is the same way Chamisa used his power to selected candidates during that party’s Candidate Selection Process (CSP) ahead of the 23 August 2023 Harmonised General Elections, which irked many people,” the source added.

Meanwhile, another close source to that party, disclosed that former Zimbabwe People’s Revolution Army (ZIPRA), Christopher Ndiweni had advised the CCC to consider Richard Mguni and Ephias Mambume for the positions of Mayor and Deputy Mayor respectively, for the city of Victoria Falls.

The source reported saying, “CCC leaders are considering putting Mguni and Mambume for the position of Deputy Mayor and Mayor of Victoria Falls respectively.”
