Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Jenfan Muswere, has highlighted the significant progress made by the Government under the Second Republic in the 3rd 100-Day Cycle of 2023.
Speaking at a post-cabinet briefing Minister Muswere said the Government had made strides in various sectors, and that the projects were having a positive impact on communities across the country.
"In the health sector, we have witnessed remarkable progress. Drilling and installation of solar-powered boreholes at 10 health facilities in Manicaland Province have been completed, ensuring access to clean water for both patients and staff,” Minister Muswere stated.
He further noted the advancement of construction projects, including the Bhale Health Post in Hwange District, which is 70% complete, and the Mutare Natpharm warehouse, which is 98% complete. Additionally, medical gas reticulation systems are being installed at Banket, Chivhu, and Victoria Falls hospitals.
Minister Muswere also highlighted the notable achievements in the Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Department which was enhancing security and public services.
"In the realm of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage, we have seen commendable progress in various initiatives. Preliminary engagements have been undertaken with stakeholders for the establishment of Community Archives in the former Mashonaland Central Protected Villages,” Muswere remarked.
Additionally, Muswere also highlighted the ongoing construction of roads in Mashonaland Central, Manicaland, Masvingo, and Mashonaland East Provinces under the Emergency Road Rehabilitation Programme 2 (ERRP2) through Devolution funds.
Meanwhile, the 3rd 100-day cycle has seen significant progress being made in various sectors of the economy. According to Minister Muswere the Government remains committed to fulfilling its promises to the people of Zimbabwe and building a better future for the country.
