ED takes lead

…as vote counting continues

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has taken a lead with a huge margin ahead of Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) leader, Nelson Chamisa, the Harare Post can report.

According to political analyst Donald Mangwiro, the results that continue to trickle in indicate that the Zanu PF Presidential aspirant, President Mnangagwa and his Zanu PF party are currently leading with a huge margin, something that predicts a possible two thirds majority in Parliament against Chamisa and his CCC party.

“Zanu PF has penetrated the CCC strongholds by scooping five constituencies in Harare and we are still counting.  Mbare, Harare South, Epworth South and North, and Hunyani have been wrestled by Zanu PF..

“This was evident. The Zimbabwean voters are no longer gullible, they now demand proof of public service delivery implemented over the previous five years in either Parliament or Council.  The CCC leadership took the voters for granted, promising them only lip service, this is the result,” said Mangwiro.

Meanwhile, information coming in indicates that Zanu PF has retained all constituencies in Mashonaland Central. Already more than ninety rural district councils have been bagged by Zanu PF across the country.  This is an indication that the people of Zimbabwe are now wise in their voting choices.  People have clearly rejected imperialist puppets for home grown leaders who are patriotic to the cause and rooted in the people.
