The Citizens Coalition for Change`s (CCC) rally that was meant to take place in Sanyati, Mashonaland West Province, has flopped due to that party`s lack of funds and poor logistics.
One CCC member has revealed to this publication that the leader of CCC, Nelson Chamisa cancelled that party`s rally due to a lack of adequate resources, including campaign material, and also a lack of proper logistical planning. The member stated that the rally was supposed to take place in Sanyati, Mashonaland West Province.
"The CCC party has proved to be a failure. There is no funding for that party`s political activities. The campaign rallies have failed. Today, the CCC was supposed to hold a campaign rally in Sanyati District, Mashonaland West Province, but because of a lack of resources and poor planning, the rally was cancelled. The party leaders have also failed to buy party regalia for campaigns.
"It seems the party is only prioritising urban areas. The people in the rural areas are now attacking Chamisa stating that he is full of empty promises and does not care about the people in rural areas," said the CCC member.
The member further said that Sanyati was a vast, sparsely populated area that needs proper logistical planning to successfully hold a rally.
Meanwhile, the CCC is prioritising fliers for the presidential campaign in Harare and Bulawayo provinces because that party believes that their votes will only come from the urban areas.
Political analysts have indicated that rerouting the material to Harare and Bulawayo Provinces confirms the inability by the CCC party to mobilise resources for the CCC rural campaign and that it also further exposes the CCC`s continued failure to penetrate ZANU PF`s strongholds.
