Bulawayo judgement, a last nail on Chamisa`s coffin

The judgement passed by the High Court for 12 Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) aspiring candidates for the National Assembly in Bulawayo left the leader of that party, Nelson Chamisa hopeless as that party would not have any representation in the Senate from Bulawayo province.

A source who spoke to this publication revealed that two CCC Senior members who are also Chamisa`s close lieutenants, Tendai Biti and Welshman Ncube, were, however, happy with this judgement as the two are anticipating for Chamisa to lose in the forthcoming Harmonised General Elections.

“It is so unfortunate to note that Chamisa`s close lieutenants are sabotaging him so that he can lose in the forthcoming elections. Biti and Ncube are actually happy with the ruling of the High Court over the 12 CCC Bulawayo aspiring candidates.

“The two are wishing for Chamisa`s downfall and want him to get less than forty percent votes. They are disgruntled over how Chamisa dumped them during his candidate selection process,” said the source.

The source further highlighted that Ncube, who was representing the 12 CCC aspiring candidates, is alleged to have put no effort to defend them in court because his intention was for them to be disqualified.

Meanwhile, the source disclosed that former Morgan Tsvangirai`s spokesperson, Luke Tamborinyoka had gone to Poland but Chamisa called him back promising him  ticket for the House of National Assembly race. When he came back, Chamisa started to sideline him. According to the source, Tamborinyoka, who is now back in Poland, had difficult times in trying to return to that country.

Political analysts have observed that Chamisa was likely to lose in the forthcoming Harmonised General Elections because he has fallen out with his close lieutenants and many of them have lost confidence in him.
