The ruling ZANU PF party has intensified its recruitment drive ahead of the 2023 watershed plebiscite by providing recruitment platforms for those wishing to join the party without any hassles.
The ZANU PF Youth League has come up with a comprehensive election strategy that targets everyone across the country and has availed details of contact persons in each administrative district.
In a statement yesterday, the ZANU PF Youth League urged people to join the ruling party and have since availed contact details of party’s representatives in each Province so that willing Zimbabweans can inquire on how to join the party.
According to information gleaned by this publication, those wishing to join the party in Bulawayo Province were urged to contact Rumbidzai Chidoma, Mthulisi Moyo, Nicholas Sibanda, Rumbidzai Chivi and Munashe Mthusa.
Those in Matabeleland North Province were advised to contact Lindani Montana, Walter Moyo, Alice Ndebele, Religious Komboni, Dominic Ndlovu, Nkosilondile Moyo and Veronica Maligo.
The contact persons for Harare Province are Taurai Chivhanga, Godden Mavesere, Kudakwashe Masamvi, Takura Madziya, Spencer Shiri and Emmanuel Mahachi.
Tinos Nduna who spoke to this publication said the availing of contact details of contact persons will make it easy for him and others to join the party.
“I wanted to join ZANU PF long back but I didn’t know how to go about it and who to contact. If you have lived in the opposition trenches for a longtime you don’t know how things are done in the ruling party and my wish of joining the ruling party was slowly fading away. However, the availing of contact details of the contact persons has made it easy for me and others willing to join the party to simply send a WhatsApp message and automatically get into the party’s database,” said Nduna.
Alice Tagarira said she is going to contact one of the Harare contact persons as she has resolved to join the ruling party.
“Im going to contact one of the party’s Harare’s contact persons to see how I can join the party. When I heard that the likes of Obert Gutu, Lilian Timveous and Blessing Chebundo has joined the ruling party, I resolved to do the same but I didn’t know how to approach the ZANU PF’s leadership. The contact details of the focal persons have greatly helped me a lot,” said Tagarira.
The ruling party is targeting about five million registered voters to ensure a 65 percent electoral victory in the 2023 elections.
