Nelson Chamisa`s beleaguered MDC party continues to plot more violent demonstrations in its bid to destabilise the economy and pressurise Zanu PF to meet its inclusive government agenda, the Harare Post can reveal.

This was revealed by MDC Secretary for Domestic Affairs, Lilian Timveous at a district meeting held in Zvishavane during the weekend.

Timveous said MDC resolved that they would only participate in the national dialogue if Zanu PF acknowledged that it lost to MDC during the 2018 harmonised elections, failure of which they will unleash more violent demonstrations which they have already started planning for.

Timvious bragged that she, with the assistance of Chitungwiza North legislature, Godfrey Sithole were chief mobilisers of the 14 to 16 January violent demonstrations that led to loss of lives and destruction of property.

Sithole is a true thug as evidenced by his video clip which went viral on social media where he allegedly called for the unconstitutional overthrow of President Emmerson Mnangagwa and inciting his supporters to loot goods during the so-called shut down. Sithole`s video clip  confirms Government’s position that the January 14-16 riots were not a protest against a hike in fuel prices but a larger plot to incite anarchy and dislodge the elected Head of State.

This is contrary to Chamisa`s claims that the MDC did not take part in the violent demonstrations.

The opposition party seems to be misled in thinking that Zanu PF is desperate to involve them in the national dialogue and that government and the ruling party cannot move on without their hand.

Chamisa snubbed the national dialogue meeting at State House which was organised by President Emmerson Mnangagwa and attended by 21 out of 23, presidential candidates for the 2018 elections, citing that the process was a flawed public relations stunt meant to appease the international community. Surprisingly, Chamisa is the one who lobbied for the dialogue which he later snubbed.
