Gvt focusing on economic diplomacy

“This year is a year of production and trade. As a nation we are focusing more on economic diplomacy. The EU has relaxed a bit on the economic sanctions and they have removed our Vice President Constatino Chiwenga and our senior minister, Minister of Lands Agriculture Water and Rural Resettlement Perrence Shiri, which is a very important gesture to us.

“It shows that our reengagement process is bearing fruit. We are excited as Zimbabweans that we will continue to engage and re-engage and ensure that we go back to the early 80s relations,” he said.

Honourable Musabayana went on to say that the coming of the Czech Republic Consulate to Zimbabwe is a welcome gesture as it strengthens communication and the relationship between the two nations.

Speaking to Minister Smolek, Minister Musabayana highlighted that the engagement between the two countries would dispel the misinformation diplomats are getting from all over, about the Zimbabwean Government.

Ever since his inauguration, President Emmerson Mnangagwa's message has been focused more on economic issues and Zimbabwe’s engagement and reengagement drive.
