According to a source who spoke to this publication, Chamisa blames his electoral defeat on FAZ, which it said vigorously campaigned for Zanu PF presidential candidate, President Emmerson Mnangagwa, which negatively affected that party’s chances of landing an election victory.
“The dissatisfaction arises from FAZ's successful campaigns across the country. FAZ managed to sway former CCC supporters towards the ZANU PF Party.
“There was a rise in Zanu PF votes in numerous polling stations across the country,” said the source.
Furthermore, the source stressed that an operation to attack FAZ members code named “Operation Recovery Takaenda was being spearheaded by some CCC senior members through a WhatsApp group called Helping Movement,”
“They have set up a surveillance team to monitor the movement of all FAZ members with the intention of attacking them during the witching hours,” said the source.
A source in Chinhoyi said a FAZ woman (name withheld) who was instrumental during the campaign period, was already targeted to be the first victim. The CCC Chinhoyi security led by Deputy District Security Officer, Arnold Gava and Tino Murisa, has already written to Chamisa’s Head of Advance Aide, Washington Gaga, requesting permission to carry an operation on the lady. The source said that the green light to pounce on the lady was given and the latter’s life is now in danger.
These retributive operations come in the wake of Chamisa's reluctance to accept his electoral defeat.
Meanwhile, reports have emerged again about CCC’s plot to target FAZ members during the planned 7 October violent demonstration at Beitbridge Border Post. This has emerged in the CCC WhatsApp chat groups where audios inciting supporters to attack FAZ members are being circulated.
However, the security has started deploying details in Beitbridge area in preparation for the violent demonstrations. Contacts within CCC have fingered Gift Ostalos Siziba as one of the organisers of the demonstrations with the help of South African opposition party led by Julius Malema, Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF).
