President Mnangagwa has issued a stern warning to ZANU PF members, emphasising the importance of discipline and unity within the ruling Party.

Addressing the 380th  Ordinary Session of the Politburo yesterday, the President underscored the need to uphold the Party's constitution and principles, stressing that any actions undermining its integrity would not be tolerated.

“It is disheartening to note the unbecoming levels of mud-slinging and other counter-revolutionary tendencies, including the broadcasting of Party issues on social media platforms. These acts continue to cause discord and confusion among the membership base. No one must put our Party into disrepute. This is unacceptable. Such behaviour cannot be tolerated and must stop. Vari kuzviita cherai chikomba,” said President Mnangagwa in a strongly worded message to the Politburo.

The President also called for adherence to ZANU PF’s founding principles and procedural integrity, urging members to desist from actions that could sow divisions.

“Every member of the Party must adhere to the provisions of our Party Constitution, founding principles, and procedural integrity, including wide consultation and formal ratification of issues that affect the Party,” he stated.

President Mnangagwa highlighted the importance of maintaining harmony and a collective sense of purpose as the Party gears up for another year of governance and development initiatives.

“Let us do more to unite the Party and entrench a positive culture of common purpose, harmony, and love, as we advance our Party Vision and Mission as articulated in Articles 6 and 7 of our Party Constitution,” President Mnangagwa urged.

President Mnangagwa emphasised the need for prudence and accountability within the Party’s structures, reiterating that ZANU PF must remain guided by its revolutionary ethos and strategic objectives.

“Prudence must be exercised in the execution of our duties and rights as members through the use of appropriate principal organs and structures of the Party. ZANU PF musangano unegwara uye nematare,” he declared.

The President’s remarks came amidst growing concerns over internal disputes and the misuse of social media by some Party members, which have been described as damaging to the Party’s image.

Meanwhile, President Mnangagwa’s call for discipline echoes his administration’s broader commitment to ensuring the stability and cohesion of ZANU PF as it navigates critical political and developmental milestones.
