Tensions are mounting within the splinter Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) aligned to NelsonChamisa, with allegations emerging that Gift Ostalos Siziba is spreading falsehoods about fellow party members.

The latest target of this rumored smear campaign is former Binga North legislator, Prince Dubeko Sibanda, as internal conflict continues to shake the camp of embattled leader Nelson Chamisa.

According to sources close to the CCC leadership, Chamisa has become increasingly distrustful of his inner circle, fearing that some members may be collaborating with state security agents to undermine his political efforts.

In recent weeks, Sibanda has reportedly found himself on the receiving end of Chamisa's silent treatment, fueling speculation that the former  party leader is distancing himself from the former legislator to avoid a direct confrontation.

Sibanda, a once-prominent figure in Matabeleland region, is said to believe that Siziba, former Pelandaba-Tshabalala MP, is working behind the scenes to tarnish his image, potentially positioning himself as a key player in Chamisa’s rumored new political movement. Ostalos, however, has denied these allegations, dismissing them as baseless.

Political commentators have weighed in on the unfolding drama predicting the demise of Chamisa's politicalcareer.

 Political analyst Dr. Nhamo Sithole remarked, “What we are seeing within CCC is a classic case of internal power struggles. As Chamisa contemplates a new political outfit, factions within the party are battling for influence, and Siziba may simply be taking advantage of the chaos to secure his position.”

Another commentator, Professor Blessing Masanga, suggested that these tensions could weaken Chamisa’s broader political aspirations.

 “This infighting is damaging not just to Sibanda but to the CCC’s credibility as an opposition force. If the party cannot resolve internal conflicts, how can they be expected to unite the nation? Chamisa needs to address these divisions before they spiral further," said Professor Masanga.

As the drama unfolds, it remains to be seen how Chamisa will manage the growing discontent within his ranks, and whether these internal rifts will impact his political future.
