A realible source has exposed Nelson Chamisa's desperation as he deploys tactics to secure loyalty from the remaining Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) parliamentarians, orchestrating a high-stakes battle within the opposition.

The source revealed that in a bid to sway CCC legislators towards his preferred candidate, Clifford Hlatshwayo as the new leader of the opposition in Parliament, Chamisa has dispatched his trusted ally, Promise Mkwananzi, to dangle financial incentives to some legislators.

Reports from the source who is an insider, revealed Mkwananzi's brazen attempts to buy support with promises of monetary rewards in exchange for their support for Hlatshwayo.

The source said that Mkwananzi recently contacted one CCC legislator (name withheld) and said, "Blaz pane bag rakasvipa apa, all you need to do is vote for Hlatshwayo and you are sorted."

The same source said that speaking to the same legislator; Mkwananzi dismissed concerns of reprisal from CCC Secretary General, Sengezo Tshabhangu, asserting that Tshabangu can no longer effect recalls.

"Musatya to be recalled, mukuru (Chamisa) has made necessary measures to protect you from mupengo unonzi Tshabhangu," Mkwananzi was quoted as saying.

Furthermore, Mkwananzi reportedly touted Chamisa's influence within the Citizens National Assembly (CNA), that party's highest decision-making body, claiming unequivocal support for Hlatshwayo's candidature.

Disparaging the rival candidate, Linnet Karenyi-Kore, Mkwananzi reportedly urged parliamentarians to reject her candidature, alleging ties to state agents.

"Mukoma don't vote for candidate yevatengesi movement ana Kore; they are captured by the state agents kutengesa chinhu chedu," Mkwananzi reportedly asserted.

As the tension mounts within the CCC, factions emerge, with Chamisa loyalists rallying behind Hlatshwayo while dissenting voices advocate for Kore's candidature.

However, fears of retribution and recall deter some members from openly endorsing Hlatshwayo, potentially tilting the scales in favour of Kore's candidature.

With the parliament caucus looming, the power struggle within the CCC intensifies, underscoring the deep divisions within that party and raising questions about Chamisa's leadership and the future direction of the opposition movement.

As legislators weigh their options amidst promises and pressures, the outcome of this internal battle remains uncertain, with ramifications for the CCC's unity and effectiveness in challenging the ruling Party.
