The Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development, Felix Tapiwa Mhona has lauded President Mnangagwa for his unwavering commitment to advancing road construction and rehabilitation projects within the country.
Speaking at the Mufiri Business Centre in Shurugwi, Midlands yesterday at the commissioning of the rehabilitated 43-kilometer stretch of the Shurugwi-Mhandamabwe road, Minister Mhona extended his gratitude to President Mnangagwa for his continued support and commitment to the development of the country’s infrastructure.
“I would like to express my appreciation to His Excellency, President Mnangagwa, for his vision and leadership in developing our country’s infrastructure. The rehabilitation of roads and other projects is essential for the growth of our nation, and I am grateful for the President’s support,” said Minister Mhona.
The Minister added that the rehabilitation of roads and other infrastructure projects such as airports are of great importance for the Government, and thanked the President for championing these efforts.
“Thanks to the tireless efforts of our President, His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa, and the Government, roads across our country are being rehabilitated and improved, not only in his home province of Midlands but nationwide. These projects are bringing our country into the modern age, and I am proud to be a part of this process,” said the Minister.
Minister Mhona conveyed that, as a Ministry, they were adhering to President Mnangagwa's directives, emphasizing the importance of collaborating with local companies to improve infrastructure and empower local people.
The Midlands Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Honourable Owen Ncube, who graced the occasion, praised the President for championing development in the province and hailed Minister Mhona for coming to the province for such an important event.
Meanwhile, the Shurugwi-Mhandamabwe road is one of the many projects that the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Development is undertaking following the near completion of the Harare-Beitbridge Road project.
