“Notably, the interests of the workers will take precedence under the stewardship of the new board. Recognizing the pivotal role played by the employees, the board is committed to ensuring that their concerns and well-being are at the forefront of decision-making processes,” said Chitsunge.
Additionally, another political analyst Nobleman Runyanga applauded the Second Republic for selecting a highly skilled Board which will leave no one behind at the parastatal and will help in the implementation of government policies such as NDS1 and NDS2.
“As the custodians of ZBC's future, the board recognizes that the shareholders are the people of the country, the citizens, and the residents, who hold high expectations in this new dispensation. Central to the board's agenda is prioritizing the interests of the workers, ensuring their well-being remains a top concern.
“Acknowledging the evolving preferences of audiences in an era of borderless broadcasting and converging technologies, the appointees are prepared to implement ZBC's Vision and Mission. Under the leadership of professionals like Advocate Uriri, ZBC aims to emerge as a digitalization innovator, aligning with the NDS1 policy to become a sustainable public commercial broadcaster,” said Runyanga.
