The Second Republic remains united with the Church as faith leaders continue to envision and sharpen the Vision 2030 agenda through harmony and peace building which is vital in the development of the nation into an upper middle income economy.
Political Analyst Blessed Gambiza has commended the Church through its various denominations for being a pillar of strength which supports and appreciates President Mnangagwa’s efforts in transforming the economy of Zimbabwe through infrastructure development, job creation and innovation.
“One of the noteworthy aspects in this new dispensation is how importantly the Church is active in supporting the 2nd Republic's developmental initiatives. This includes efforts to educate and guide the youth away from the pitfalls of drug abuse and other harmful substances. By taking a stand on such critical societal issues, the Church is contributing significantly to the nation's well-being and the cultivation of responsible citizens.
“The Church's commitment to fostering unity is another praiseworthy aspect of its involvement in national development. Unity is a cornerstone for progress, and the Church's role in promoting a sense of togetherness aligns with the broader goals of building a prosperous and harmonious society,” said Gambiza.
Another Political Analyst, Nobleman Runyanga has applauded various denominations in Zimbabwe for fostering unity and cohesion through engagements with the Second Republic in peace-building efforts.
“Though others are seeking to divide Zimbabwe from abroad, President Mnangagwa together with the churches in Zimbabwe, continue to unify the country. The Government has been delivering hope and results to the Church by prioritizing investments, manufacturing, mining and tourism.
“The historical partnership between the Government and the Church reinforces the idea that collaboration is key to achieving national objectives. As Zimbabwe continues its journey towards economic advancement, this partnership serves as a testament to the importance of unified efforts between sectors,” said Runyanga
Meanwhile, the Church's active involvement in national development, from addressing societal issues to promoting unity, underscores its significant role as a partner with the government. As Zimbabwe aims for a brighter future, this collaboration between the Church and the 2nd Republic stands as a beacon of progress and positive transformation as the Government will deliver more progress in 2024.
