The leader of MDC-Alliance, Nelson Chamisa is not sincere and is in alliance with former President, Robert Mugabe, spokesperson of War Veterans, Douglas Mahiya said.
Speaking at a press conference held today in Harare, the vibrant and fearless former guerilla said that Zimbabweans were tired of Chamisa’s double standards during and after the polls.
“Chamisa made it clear from the onset that he was not going to accept the outcome of the elections if he did not win, he was clear. And the international world did not bother to ask them what they meant,” said Mahiya.
Secretary General for War Veterans, Victor Matemadanda also weighed in and said that it was clear that Chamisa was openly inciting violence but the West just looked at that without action.
“Chamisa is inciting people to disrespect the outcome of the courts, but the international community is not questioning,” said Matemadanda.
“If America believes in democracy, why they cannot teach Chamisa?” fumed Mahiya.
“He grabbed power from (Thokozani) Khupe, but America did not raise a finger over that,” said Matemadanda.
Matemadanda described Chamisa and his lawyer Thabani Mpofu and Tendai Biti as traitors for allegedly calling for US sanctions. He condemned the US for its duplicity, saying they turn a blind eye at the mass murder in Palestine and all the Middle East.
“We don’t want to go back to the situation where whites are our enemies. We did not fight against race. We fought against a system,” said Matemadanda.
